Immune Boosters and Lymph Flow

I'm starting to feel much better, thanks for the comments and sicky prevention ideas. I had to get a TB test yesterday (for volunteering at a hospital) and the nurse practitioner told me to go get some Robitussin DM for my cough and it worked wonders! The taste does leave something to be desired though - bleh.

I actually heard a wacky idea on the lymphoma board, and after some Googling, I have to say I'm intrigued and might purchase a mini trampoline... I know, it sounds so silly. But I found on several Websites that rebounding on a mini trampoline can actually improve your immune system as well as lymphatic flow... According to this Website:

"Almost anything which can stimulate the movement of lymph fluid inside the lymph vessels is beneficial, but the most efficient way to stimulate the flow of lymph fluid is by rebounding on a mini-trampoline. The up and down rhythmic bouncing causes all of the one-way valves to open and close simultaneously, increasing lymph flow as much as 15 times. Rebounding is a highly beneficial form of exercise."

Sooo as hippy-tastic as it sounds, I'm looking into trying one out. They're actually pretty expensive, and the online reviews vary quite a bit...I know how I get sick of exercise pretty easy, so I don't want to invest until I know I'll like it... or can return it :)

So that's my latest and greatest for now. I hope you're all doing swell.

XO

Trampolining sounds good. Rebounding activities are also good for bone growth and maintance. Jump roping may be just as good and much cheaper. Another way to promote lymph flow is to lay on your back with your feet up the wall. It feels tingly but it gets the juice flowing. Hope you have a "hippy-tastic" christmas, say hi to the fam for me.
