Well folks, I followed up with my oncologist yesterday and it sounds like I might have mono, hoooray! According to him, my blood tests show evidence of Epstein-Barr virus which causes mononucleosis aka mono. I have to get some additional blood tests but I'll definitely take mono over the Hodge any day of the week :)
And if it's mono, I won't have to do any sort of biopsy on my throat! Hopefully that's what it is. Afterall, I like sleeping, and now I have an excuse why I love it so much.
But of course, sorry if you were planning to makeout with me in the near future. I think I'll have to take a rain check.
Stay tuned and of course, XO.

That would be fantastic if you 'only' had mono - as you say, when the alternative is Hodge, you'd take just about anything!!
;0)
And yes....I'll take a rain-check on the old lip-action with you, Kelly - not that our lips can cross the Atlantic, but even so.......<3
Hi Kelly - having mono isn't any fun...but it's better than your old friend..the Hodge. Lauren's throat was UGLY when she had mono - was it last yr or the yr before...I forget already! Let us know when you find out.
Sorry the job interview didn't work out. Keep looking for the right fit for you. My Katie is starting an online school (National University) to finish up her degree in Marketing/Business...check them out. They have campuses in many states (there's one nearby her in Fresno, CA). Don't know if they'll offer what you are looking for...but it's worth a try.
Take care of yourself...and rest up and let your body beat this thing.

I think there's some evidence (or a theory anyway!) that the hodge (in some people, not all) might be partly caused by the epstein barr virus lying dormant in the immune cells and causing them to not behave like they should. so could be a possible link there? or could be just coincidence! hope you feel better soon anyway.

Hi, just found your blog. I was just dx'd with breast cancer and a friend of mine was just dx'd with Hodgkins. Must be something in the water! I'll point your blog to her.
Sooo you're saying we can't make out tonight?
Stop making out with all those dirty Hobos!
You know that's how you get mono...
