Another Kelly Update - Running on Adrenaline and Lack of Sleep Edition

Sorry for the lack of updates this past week. I've been running on adrenaline and lack of sleep a bit. But for me keeping busy is always a very good thing.

A few of you have asked how the job hunt is going... well, it looks like I'm going to be starting a contract gig for a while to help out a start-up insurance company that could be a very cool opportunity. I can do the majority of the work from my apartment and it could turn into something bigger down the road. I'm just waiting to get a few things finalized before I get started on the project -- most likely later this week. AND how funny, but the guy I'm working for found me thru my profile on LinkedIn and then Googled me and found Chemopalooza.com and then emailed me! I guess Internet networking and blogging can actually pay off... well, let me hold off on that until I get my first pay check :)

I also just finished up level 3 in my improv class... only 3 levels to go! I think I have a 2 week break before the next class starts, and I'm actually excited for the break because I've been running around like a lunatic! It's sad though, one of my improv class pals won't be able to go on to level 4 with us because he's getting deployed to Iraq in this summer :( Poor guy, I've known him since my first class this fall.

I also went to a pseduo high school reunion this weekend. It was really an old friends Jack N Jill party, but literally almost everyone I was friends with in high school was there. Most of them I hadn't seen in almost 10 years. And many of them married with several kids! Even ex-boyfriends! But it was a great time and I'm really glad I went... it was kinda energizing.

Anywho, that's all the stories I have for now. I'll find some cancer news and post next week.

XO

Does the insurance start up offer insurance? Kind of a nice oxymoron if they don't! That is great that you've got a job going in this economy. Kudos to you!

Hey Kairol -

Since I'm a contractor, I'll be paying for my own insurance, lovely Cobra. It's not that bad, and my insurance is really good...so it's good for now.

I think I'll also be seeing you on Saturday - you're coming to Boston, right?
