Tickets Purchased!!!

I purchased tickets for Chelsea Handler on Friday. Me, Mandy and Pat are all going! Pat thought he couldn't go - but then his work plans fell thru and voila, he's now coming! Yaaaay! I'm so excited for our day of fun!

You'll be happy to know that right now I'm painting some mirrors to hang on my walls tomorrow - it's only taken me ummm forever to paint them and they're tiny! I finally went to the craft store tonight after work. I even bought a weird sponge thing to try and learn to be crafty, I'm sooo not though! ha ha

So anywho, just wanted to post my latest accomplishments! Hopefully I'll actually hang the mirrors tomorrow when they're dry! Fingers are crossed and pictures will be shared :)

Have I Mentioned I Heart Chelsea Handler?

Okay, any takers to come with me to see Chelsea Handler on Saturday August 16th? Please say yes! I just casually looked online to see if she had any shows coming up near me and voila! she does!!! It's either $24.50 or $34.50 -- and I'd probably lean towards getting the better seats.... I also just got her first book in the mail today - what a coincidence! I'm currently stalking Pat to get him to say he'll go. He owes me :)

Oh and do you love my 2 new songs? I've already gotten an email from Veronica telling me I need to get out more - but I actually put up the Golden Girls songs because the lovely Estelle Getty passed away yesterday. During lunch yesterday we were talking about how terriffic the show is - I love to fall asleep to it. It's like grandma tucking you in with a nice warm glass of milk. Unfortunately, the show doesn't come on until 1am, so I usually don't get a chance to get my fix. We were thinking of ways to make reporters open their email - my suggestion was a subject line of "Did you hear Estelle Getty..." and then of course insert this picture

Today was another personal training session - I'm really not a fan of the place that I purchased the training package from, thank goodness I only have one left. They don't seem to know anything about me and it's not very exciting. And the place that we train was like a billion degrees and I couldn't function. Ugh. I was drenched when I left, which I guess is good, but I literally couldn't breathe when I was working out!

Anywho, that's really all I got going on today. Just thought I would post about Chelsea and Estelle.

Day of fancy...:)

Ah the weekend is here - well actually it's almost over, but still ahhhh. This weekend entailed some fun cleaning - you know how it makes me sleep better :) I tore apart my bathroom and all of my shampoo which I filled a laundry basket with and did some fun cleaning.... I slept amazing! Then Saturday I had my day of fancy - manicure, pedicure, facial, eye brow waxing and then haircut and color -- no straight hair though because I ended up running late for my appointment because the other stuff ran behind... but it was so humid straight fancy hair probably wouldn't have lasted. Then I went to Michele and Stephen's housewarming party - it was soooo hot and humid out though! I was sweating like a whore (right, Ry Ry?) but it was a good time and good turn out at her party. Today I finished cleaning up my apartment and then did another interview for this girl Lily's college paper on women with cancer and now I'm here... being boring ;)

I survived my personal training session and actually wasn't that sore afterwards. The worst part was my arms surprisingly - mostly my right arm, I'm thinking that's probably my weak one since I'm a lefty and that's where I had my first hodge biopsy that went a rye. I have another training session tomorrow night and then on Wednesday. I am feeling a bit healthier already and have been trying to include more fruit and veggies into my diet. I lived on Kelly's Smelly Pasta last week, which isn't that bad for you - broccoli, tomatoes, pasta, olive oil... mmmm. I just need to try and incorporate a little gym cardio in between sessions and I'm be golden. Hopefully this week will be a little easier to fit stuff in.

Not much else excitement in my life lately. There are talks of me going to visit Ry Ry and Jenny in the Fall in lovely Kentucky.

Mmmkay, I ran out of stuff to write, must mean time to stop!

Ahhhhhh

I went to the gym tonight! I did personal training session number 2 of 5. The whole time I just wanted it all to end though. I don't know how people think that stuff is fun. I think I'm going to probably end up doing my own thing just doing cardio stuff once I'm thru with my sessions. I need to get this darn heart rate better - it still sky rockets when I do anything - and I also need to get these lungs working better as well. That's the goal, and maybe a little body shrinkage as well. But it's one day at a time.

Maybe I'll start sweating to the oldies with Richard Simmons - I think I heard he's making a comeback :) Break out the leg warmers and sweat bands - it's party time!

Anywho, that's really all I've been up to. Work has been super busy since I've been back, I think it's part me just being a little slow motion from vacation, but definitely busy. I've even had to work from home for the past couple nights. I'm definitely looking forward to the weekend so I can get myself situated here AND I'm getting my hair cut and colored and a facial and pedicure... sooo basically a day of fancy since I didn't get to do anything nice while I was on vaca due to my lovely shingles - and hey it's cheaper to do it here anyways!

Back From Vaca...

I'm back from vaca ... ugh. I wish I was still at the beach. I'm sunburned though - somehow I managed to burn on my last day on just my left arm - and no my arm wasn't hanging out of the car window or something! I have no idea what I did! Ha!

Are You There Vodka? It's Me, Kelly

I did a little summer reading this week. And if you know me, you know I don't have much of an attention span for reading an entire book - but I did and in about 3 days!!!! I read Chelsea Handler's new book Are You There Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea which was like I was really hanging out with her, and I'd like to think the two of us would get along swimmingly with our big truck driver mouths. And after reading this book, I now know how I could write my own book - but it wouldn't sell as I'm not a celebrity, but at least I've learned how to. Anywho, I highly recommend reading her book if you like to read my blog - obviously it has NOTHING to do with cancer, more about vodka, sex and hillariousness but she writes like me - sorta.

Her show on Chelsea Lately on E! kept me very entertained and up-to-date with all the celebrity gossip I didn't need to know during my free time last year. She's super hilllarious and I try to watch her show as often as I can. Did you buy the book yet? It's cheap on Amazon, just do it!

So yeah, if I had a better memory I would give more of a book review, but umm if you've met me you know I don't remember that kinda stuff. Just buy it or borrow mine.

Hmm what else --- shingles are still kicking around. They can take quite a while to go away, but it seems they're starting to dry up a bit and I'm sure the ocean is helping speed up the process. I'm still taking my lovely Valtrex 3 times a day - ugh.

The weather here has only been s0-so. It's been super humid and cloudy and a little too breezy and it seems that everytime I show up to the beach it gets kinda "eh" - it must be a sign! I'm still enjoying my vaca and relaxing. Going to bed kinda early, getting up kinda late, I don't know what I'm going to do when it's time to go back to work!

Herpes(zoster)-tastic!

Yep, I'm about 90% sure it's shingles. I'm not going to a doctor because it's a pain in the butt and everyone here that has seen it thinks its shingles - so the Valtrex (yep - same thing for genital herpes!) is being flown over thanks to my lovely oncologist calling it in for me on this holiday weekend -- the thank you card is in the mail.

BUT that means my plans for a relaxing massage this week are not happening! Sad lamb. What a scam of a vacation! No massages for me for a good month.

Mmmkay I'm off to hang out with my herpes!

My Back is a Giant Slut AGAIN!?!

I think I have shingles - AGAIN! I just found a semi-painful patch of little bumps on my back. And of course, I was feeling back tingles the past few days.... sooooooo I think the shingles has returned. Ugh. I've been feeling super run down with all the anti hodge bonanza business, and I even decided to sleep all day today instead of going to the 4th of July parade...

AND I'm at the beach, soooo I would have to take a ferry boat to get to an emergency room or track a doctor down that will give me a prescription over the phone for some lovely Valtrex. Mmmmm herpes meds! Fingers crossed it's just some weird acne!
